PL530 become my work horse together with LA121 HeNe. PL530 make absolutely clean holos, without any deffect, like previously used LasNova 50, but two time faster There is sample from PL530+LA121 setup, SilverX plate, CW-C2 and Brilland bleach. Hope also others shows holos made by this incredible device!

I have not had good success with Dave's driver or using a buck boost. The last try with a buck boost I got a lot of power out but near nothing after turning off and starting the next day. I am in the process of getting components to put together soda"s circuit steampunking with a perfboard.

John it need to be thermally stable , once it’s running and stable, tune it.... let it stabilize again re check.
Now the next time you turn it on wait ten mins to come to full power again?

I have finished compact design of PL530 laser. Selected ones have output 100mW+, available for 250Euro + shipping (or equivalent in $). Tested for SLM by FPSI and for long term stability against I2 cell. Drivers will be available upon request.

Does this latest design include a TEC?

Yes, latest version is equiped with TEC driver and PID control loop to maintain optimal temperature.
