I know it has been mentioned years ago when DCG was king that an interesting observation is those of us who use a container of water rather then running water is the amount of gelatin seen in the water bath after a session. You would think that would be a bad thing but rather seems not to effect the quality of the hologram (I think).
Also, I heard tales of using a hot water (bath) a quick plunge and then into IPA. This is with higher bloom film however.
I am under the belief that the water bath serves two purposes. Swelling of the film, and removal (desolve) of the non crosslinked AmDi. I understand that the greater the swell the more broadband the results . I imagine Ph is doing the same thing, loosening the noddle. I wonder if the removal of the top layer adds to the churping of film.
