The H1 is a two beam transmission hologram. VRP-M film processed with JD-2 developer and bleach.

The H2 is a two beam reflection copy, again VRP-M film processed with JD-2 developer and bleach. 4 second exposure, supposed to be a 2:1 beam ratio.

The laser is a Coherent 315M.

It actualy reconstructs a bit greener than the image shows. The light source is a filmstrip projector. This is my third H1H2 attempt, and the first one to really come out. (Yay!)

Congratulations on your H2 copy! It loks like it came out well. You might try painting the backside with black spray paint to increase the visual contrast.

You picked a very difficult subject, one with nearly specular reflectors that make for lots of dynamic range. With lower contrast subjects, you can boost the beam ratios without getting burnout.

Theatrical supply stores sell "flatting spray" that will decrease the specular reflections so you can make holograms of shiny objects. It is hard to clean off so you can only use it on dedicated objects. If you can not find it you can use hairspray or flat clear laquer.

congratulations! a very good hologram!
use a d-sorbitol solution for shift the color in the green/yellow range. it will make the image more bright. then seal it with black paint.
