Hello!
Has anyone tried stains or dyes other than methylene blue to make DCG
more sensitive to Green lasers? Something like Carmine would do the trick!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmine
Does the dye need to have a very special chemical reaction to work?
Sorry for the dumb questions...
Best regards
Filipe

If you search the archive there are a couple of other dye's that Jeff Blythe has used. The may be in the wiki as well.

Hello!
I tried the Eosine and Rhodamines (6G and B), but i noticed the coagulation of the eosine. R6G has best sensitivity, B is not so sensitive. But I did not make any in-depth experiments.
