I guess I've committed to my current course, rather than pseudo color. Probably because I've had some tantalizing success (but countless failures). The below hologram was about as far as I got in 2015:

But I have persistent haze problems, which I currently think are due to the non-dark-reacting layer (high pH) prior to exposure.

I can't seem to get the same sharpness/depth as I did back in 2007 with traditional DCG (gelatin + ammonium dichromate):
