My first green holo

This is pretty low-tech made from supplies in an Integraf holokit.

film: PFG-03M (2.5" x 2.5")
chem: JD-4 (develop 2.5 min, bleach 2.5 min)

Presoaked in sugar water for 5-10 min (about 2.5 cups distilled water, with 1/2 tablespoon sugar) and dried for about 24 hours.

Laser diode was unfocused about 4 feet away to create a wide but not very tall beam. Left half of the beam was the reference, the right had a mirror (regular mirror not 1st surface) at a 45 degree angle to reflect the light into the right side of the scene. I tried a black marker on the edges to reduce light entering the edges, seemed to help but probably needed better light control. Exposure was about 25 seconds.

The scene is some smooth river rocks and some translucent red die in a jumble with the plate resting on them at about a 45 degree angle. Depth is a inch or so. The '5' on the 8-sider is basicly holding the plate up during exposure.

Not sure why the film is fogged. Probably due to uneven drying from the presoak or processing. I did accidentially make the photo-flo solution a bit strong...

PS- Bonus points to whom can ID the book that plate is resting on. A hint: the holo scene is related.
