Dragons
Just made a nice (but a little over exposed) reflection holograom of a dragon. Below you can see the new holo in Color, and an older version I made with just the green laser. The dragon got new paint just before the color, it was white for the green holo. Dragon 1.JPG Dragon 2.JPG Dragon green.JPG

Monochrome and Color Denisyuk Holograms from China
Those look like some nice holograms The angle of expanded laser beam is wavelength dependent and you have to find a best pinpoint for the spacial filter I am just starting to work with two colors. I am interested in your statement about the relationship between the wavelength and the angle of the ex...

Questions about two color holography
The color on this one came out a little richer than than expected (object has almost pastel paint). The blotchiness is a litte more evident and green is a little too heavy. Cher 2.JPG I really like hr rosy cheeks. The skin tone is painted peachy, and not exactly uniform. I now think I need a second ...

Questions about two color holography
The current setup uses 2 lasers - 315M putting out 100mW at 532 and HeNe putting out 45+mW at 623. To combine beams I am using a dicroic filter with green straight through and red reflecting. The combined beam passes through a shutter, then two lenses to expand beam and 1 mirror to change beam direc...

Questions about two color holography
A spatial filter is on my list of optics and other things needed. I can see that I need to find a way to tame (match with HeNe) my green diameter and divergence. I managed to get the beams relatively mixed. So I finally got to test my new toy last night/this morning. I started with a relatively simp...

Color Holography
Danny,
Can you tell us more about this fiber lens and its use to blend the beams and avoid need for spacial filter. I am just starting down this road of two colors so any suggestions, tips or tricks are appreciated.
Good luck with the new developer, please let us know how it works

Questions about two color holography
Thanks Danny, I understand now. The Melles laser would indeed be difficult for standard setup, with an elliptical, divergent beam. Just getting the green DPSS to approximate the HeNe was troublesome enough I am now headed down the road of trying to get my green DPSS (315M) to match my (new) HeNe. A...

Questions about two color holography
Finally got a chance to turn on the new laser (Thank you Phil!). Saw 41.57mw readout on my handheld Lasercheck power meter. I will check again tonight as I may have input the wrong wavelength when I was playing last night. Interestingly, after I measured my 315M, then measured the HeNe without chang...

Questions about two color holography
I have a new laser arriving - a Melles Griot LHP 927 from Phil and Sam. This will be going in my lab with my C315. So now I have a myriad of questions about using the two lasers together to make two color holograms. Not really sure in what ways using two different wavelengths is different from using...

Dave - Any update???
Well, since we are not getting any feedback . . . I think it is time that the holograms return to their respective homes.
