Issues with developing
Im not sure what is causing the white haze/fog on the glass, and dark spots - possibly overexposed.
Generally the bottom is better than the top - angle of reference beam?, exposure?
I like this image - it reminds me of a painting, but still not as bright as I want

Issues with developing
Just started my hand with split beam 2 color reflection holograms. Also started using PFG 03C and JD-4 developer. First couple attempts resulted in nearly white /spotty white plates with difficult to see image behind - I believe too long in developer After shortening the time in developer to 5 secon...

RonnieO wins again!
Congratulations Ron. Good to see you get some accolades for your work. I must agree that analog, monochromatic holograms are cool - and can be compelling pieces of art. As to the Q-switched...lasers, I must defer to your judgment and results as I have not had the opportunity to use such equipment. I...

The Non Contest
Dannybee, Agree - this is the place to have actual discussions and information (as well as the Holowiki) - Facebook seems more social. I certainly hope both can coexist. As to a new contest - But for a bit of a sour taste in my mouth from the non-contest (passaround), I would like to participate. I ...

Annual Orange Box Mini-Symposium
Jeffrey, I can not read the name of the Yu-Gi-Oh card in the "partyFavors" picture. Can you please identify. I am bummed that my schedule would not permit me to make this event. The wealth of knowledge in attendance is amazing and I would have loved to pick your brains - Just walking into ...

my new 3 beam fiber optic delivery system
Danny, I like the idea of a fiber optic delivery system. How much light do you lose? It seems like this would be a good way to position your light sources and mantain proper path lengths. Would love to see a hologram created with this setup and more specifics regarding the setup. I know very little ...

question about split-beam color
Dinesh, Can you elaborate a little on the pre-distortion of the beams. You say that you used six sets of everything - that must require a very large setup! Can I presume that you collimated all three of the H1 reference beams? Did you use three separate collimating mirrors (would require a long setu...

question about beamsplitter cube & waveplates
Is there no way to change the polarization of one of the beams before combining so that the polarization matches after the cube? In other words starting with the polarization slightly rotated so that after the optics the polarization matches.
