Issues with developing

After using the last of the PFG03C plates in stock and testing a variety of different exposure levels and developing techniques, the plates with the least/no obstructive whiteness were those that were processed with the emulsion side DOWN. I know Ed mentions this in the processing regime (dont recal...

15 Weeks in 2 Hours!

Ed,
Im not offended (and I hope I have not offended you by my comment). I just thought it was an interesting choice for the website and/or wondered if I was seeing what you intended. Don't really mean to criticize your artistic choices.

15 Weeks in 2 Hours!

Ed,
That picture of you hurts my eyes. Is it my monitor or is there some reason for the blurry/out of focus image?

"The Amateur Scientist" on CD-ROM

[quoteBut today, it seems, people simply want to tap an app and satisfy instant gratification. I wondered when it all changed. I proposed that the change occurred when devices largely moved away from hardware into primarily software. Software, of course, is a little harder to play around with. I won...

I would be happy to talk about the Kaleidoscope of problems I have experienced with two color. I that I really have very little experience I better bring more wine, not less! No worries Dinesh I, I will be bringing wine (likely a Bordeaux with a high Merlot content).

Dinesh we should start "the Porcelain Cat Group"

Issues with developing

Just wanted to thank you for the responses. Ed your diagnosis is spot on. As for equipment such as spacial filter, plate holder, clean optics I am sorely lacking. My table rebuild was not stellar as I did not tie together my two breadboards. I had a hard time getting my head around needing 10 times ...

Thanks Dinesh,
Weekend in San Diego was the selling point.
I look forward to seeing a real holography lab (studio?).
