Thanks Sergio,
I'm looking to produce larger plates and space is limited.

Copper and IPA
I was thinking of heating my IPA with a flexible copper tube that would run warm water in it.
Does copper react any way to IPA?
Thanks
Tony

Re: ideal temp and RH for working with DCG process
My understanding is heat and high RH decrease DCG film sensitivity. By how much I cannot say. But if you store your film in a dry cool location (say 40%RH and 70 degrees or lower) your film should be fine. Every location requires experimentation to find what is optimal for you. Here in my part of Ca...

Re: neutralize unused ammonium dichromate for proper waste disposal
I'm not sure where you live but here in the great state of California it is free. My county has a site about 5 miles from me where I drop off used fixer and AmDi in gel and non-gel form. I believe they pack all these chemicals and place them into a large container then bury it in a heavily lined hol...

Re: ideal temp and RH for working with DCG process
Keep in mind that the best DCG holographers like Dinesh, August Muth and the company in Utah (that make DCG masters) all live in dry climates. Dryer environments are good for DCG in that you can store your plates longer. If you live in a high RH area you may want to look into Dave B's dip in shoot m...

Re: neutralize unused ammonium dichromate for proper waste disposal
Dave is right of coarse Sodium metabisulfite will make AmDi into a safer state but I would like you to consider that you are still dumping metals into the environment. I recommend that you dump as much AmDi into a container (milk jug like) and only use MS as the last clean up. Once you have a few ju...

Lovely Wolfgang
If there anyway to get a picture of your lighting set up?
I've been shopping around for decent inexpensive light fixtures.
Well done but it's about time

Capping DCG
In making DCG masters I sometimes need to heat gun the plate to shift the color blue (per one of Rolison's papers.) As soon I am at the desired wavelength I quickly cap it using Dave's resin technique. I notice sometimes the wavelength will shift green making the master almost useless. My guess is t...
